We have a full summer ahead.
Patio season is finally here! Whether it’s weekend brunch with friends or a family meal by the lake, dining outdoors is a quintessential summer activity around here. Did you know some of the state’s best patios are on Adventure Road? We’ve rounded them up for you to consider next time you’re in the mood for some al fresco fun.

Settle in with some fried green beans and a longneck as you soak in a gorgeous Oklahoma sunset by Lake Hefner. You can enjoy live music by Steve Crossley and Jerry Wilson every Wednesday at 8 p.m. until September 11.

Margarita, meet Lake Hefner Marina! We would say it’s near impossible to improve Mama Roja’s hand-rolled tamales and sizzling fajita skillets but eating underneath the shake of a lakeside cabana takes the meal to a new level. Be sure to check out the Happy Hour menu available Monday-Friday, 3-6 p.m. (we love a $2 Taco Tuesday).

Redrock Canyon Grill (OKC)
Open for weekend brunch and weekday dinner, Redrock Canyon Grill’s menus consistently keep our mouths watering. The stuffed poblano, the Redrock Salad, the bone-in pork chops and a great view to boot. The outdoor bar you see in the photo above opens at 4 p.m. Monday-Friday and features quite an impressive wine list!

Midtown’s own O Bar, located atop the Ambassador Hotel, boasts a competitive view of the downtown skyline. No wonder it was named OKC’s best rooftop bar in 2018! Upscale and chic, O Bar is the perfect choice for cocktails with coworkers or a romantic evening with someone special. Tip: don’t overlook the small plates and entrées on the menu, they’re fantastic.

The Winston
In addition to its menu of elevated pub food and vast selection of whiskeys, The Winston is offering a lineup of seasonal cocktails like the frozen watermelon fresca and the Ruby Mule. You can brunch on the dog-friendly patio along Norman’s Main Street Saturdays and Sundays until 2 p.m.

Speaking of dog-friendly, this next-door neighbor to The Winston also sees its fair share of four-legged pals and knows a thing or two about crafting a brunch menu. You can try a new style of eggs benedict or sweet and yummy buttermilk pancakes, but one thing’s for sure: you have to get an order of made-from-scratch biscuits and candied bacon.

The beautiful grounds of this boutique vineyard in Ada serve as a peaceful backdrop during your next wine tasting. Sitting under the veranda with one of Waddell Vineyards’ award-winning wines is a great way to spend a summer evening. Be sure to keep an eye out for upcoming Sip & Swirl paint classes!
