Fireworks and More July 4th Festivities

Three cheers for the red, white and blue.

It’s looking like an Independence Day for the record books this year on Adventure Road! From Ardmore to Tishomingo to Lake Texoma, there are celebrations and festivities to join on each day of your holiday weekend. Pack an ice chest and plenty of sunscreen and hit the road to find fireworks, food and even more fun at the lake.

The annual celebration returns to Main Street Tishomingo Friday, July 2, and Saturday, July 3! Friday evening, an exciting fireworks show will kick off a good ol’ fashioned street dance sponsored by Ole Red. The street will be shut down to host a night of dancing, burgers and dogs and live music from the Alan Rudd Band. This event is free and open to the public, starting at 9:30 p.m. Saturday festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. and include a morning parade down Main Street and more activities at Pennington Creek Park followed by a car show, water slides, live music, vendor booths, food trucks, contests and more!

If you’re taking to the waters of Lake Texoma on 4th of July weekend, head to Kingston’s Merry Meadows Farm on Saturday, July 3 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.! You’ll enjoy an outdoor market akin to a small country fair, complete with produce, flowers, freshly baked pies and cakes, scintillating jars of preserves and pickles, handmade goods, entertainment, antiques and more unique finds from farmers and crafters. The event is free and open to the public, plus a perfect precursor to the fireworks later that night!

The Lake Texoma Association invites visitors of all ages to come enjoy the Independence Day Fireworks Show on Saturday, July 3. The fun begins at 6 p.m. with face painting, food trucks, a water bounce house and more. Come nighttime, a fantastic fireworks display will fill the air. The Lake Texoma Association is located at 11934 State Park Road, Kingston, Oklahoma, OK 73439.

Live entertainment, local vendor booths, games and activities, it’s all going to be at the 2021 Davis American Fest at the Davis Football Field, starting at 5 p.m. The evening concludes with a huge fireworks show at dark! Come out and enjoy this festive, FREE event.

Star-spangled festivities continue at Lake Murray on Sunday, July 4 with a colorful fireworks display from 9-10 p.m. There is plenty of parking and space to sprawl out with lawn chairs and blankets. Enjoy a fun day playing at Lake Murray Water Sports & Mini Golf and then head to the RC Flying Fields to end the day with a patriotic celebration. The event is free and open to the public!
