Sweet Treats to Cool You Down This Summer

Try them while you can!

The best way to extinguish the summer heat is with a treat as tasty as it is cooling. Luckily, eateries and ice creameries all over Adventure Road have innovative creations to try for a limited time only. We’ve rounded up some of the most interesting and mouth-watering desserts with big, seasonal flavors. Don’t wait to try them!

Corndog with Ketchup & Mustard

Film Row District

Only at The Jones Assembly will you find this fun dessert take on an all-American classic. This seasonal special is made with cornflake and white chocolate dipped raspberry custard on a stick, corn brûlée, roasted corn cake and a raspberry and mango sauce.

A S’mores Delight

There’s nothing like a s’mores on a summer night, and at Capitals Ice Cream, you can enjoy those classic flavors in ice cream form without having to roast marshmallows (and yourself) by an open fire. This s’mores concoction consists of graham cracker, chocolate swirl and roasted marshmallow, however, you can customize it to your liking.

Oklahoma Sunset

Uptown 23rd

As one of OKC’s newest ice cream shops, Boomtown Creamery has made a big splash with its unforgettable, craveable and creative ice cream flavors handmade from scratch in small batches. With non-dairy options and a variety of limited seasonal flavors like Oklahoma Sunset (strawberry, blueberry and peach sorbet blended to perfection), there’s something for everyone.

Donut Bread Pudding

Paseo Arts District

Red Rooster is known to serve up modern interpretations of classic neighborhood pub fare with fresh, local ingredients and plenty of creativity. Case in point, its Donut Bread Pudding made with Holey Rollers donuts and topped with coffee ice cream.

Cookie Party

Plaza District

As the Plaza’s resident ice creamery, Roxy’s Ice Cream Social has proven itself to be as consistently innovative as it is delicious. Its most recent creation is the Cookie Party, vegan sugar cookies blended and mixed with chunks of colorful cookies and tossed into a sweet vegan vanilla base.

Sample in a Jar

Paseo Arts District

Known for its incredible Chef’s Features monthly rotation, Picasso Café has a new dessert available through the end of July. Swipe to the end to see the Sample in a Jar: mango mousse, raspberry compote and butterfly pea curd layered in a mason jar with Swedish Fish chasers on the side.

Fro-yo Your Way

The Artesian Hotel

With a variety of crowd-pleasing flavors and all the toppings you could ever want, Sweet Swirlz is the perfect spot to cool down with something tasty after a full day of exploring the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. There are no rules when it comes to fro-yo, so don’t be afraid to load up your cup as you see fit.
